We are seeking reliable, self-motivated individuals to help us meet our mission of providing quality childcare in a safe and fun environment! We are seeking a part-time floating teachers to assist in classrooms throughout the center. This job is for a fixed weekly schedule from 3-5:30 pm Monday through Friday. You must be willing to work with all age groups from infants through pre-k and be available a minimum of 3 afternoons per week (ideally available 5 days per week).
THIS JOB IS IDEAL FOR COLLEGE OR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS!
Responsibilities:
  • Cover breaks for teachers
  • Collaborate with lead teachers and other teaching assistants to ensure smooth daily operations of the classroom
  • Monitor and supervise children during activities, ensuring their safety at all times
  • Play with and read to children
  • Help serve meals and supervise children eating
  • Clean as needed
  • Assist with daily routines such as mealtime, nap time, diaper changes, and toileting
  • Help clean and close the classroom you are assigned to
REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum 16 years of age
  • Reliable transportation to work each day
  • Ability to show up on time and consistently
  • Be able to sit on the floor to play with children
  • Be able to lift children up to 40 pounds
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential
  • You MUST be able to put your cell phone away while working to stay in compliance with regulations
PREFERRED
  • High School Diploma or one year childcare experience
Experience:
  • Previous experience working in a daycare or preschool setting is preferred
  • Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies is a plus
  • No cell phone use is allowed while in the classroom.
