Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Valid New York State certification for Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) Previous experience supporting elementary-age students in a school setting is highly desirable Demonstrated expertise in creating accommodations and modifying curriculum tailored to DHH students Strong communication skills for collaboration with classroom teachers, families, and related service providers Passion for advocating for the needs of deaf and hard of hearing students

Primary Responsibilities:

Serve as the dedicated TDHH for an elementary school, working with a manageable caseload within one campus Provide direct instruction and consultative services to students with varying degrees of hearing loss Adapt educational materials, incorporate assistive technology, and ensure effective access to the general curriculum Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to implement IEP goals and document progress Engage in consistent communication with families and educators to maximize each childs achievement and confidence Enjoy the opportunity to focus your expertise in a welcoming, collaborative elementary setting with a consistent weekly schedule.
