Required:
Valid teaching certification/licensure in the State of Ohio.Desired:
Commitment to work 24 hrs. per week at ACH; Demonstrates knowledge of instructional strategies; Experience in planning, developing and conducting instruction in a one-one setting; Commitment to work with scientifically-based research instructional practices; Experience working collaboratively with families, teachers, school districts and ACH staff.Position Description:
Provide academic instruction supports on site at ACH; Communicates with the regular classroom teacher to identify pupil needs; Reports pupil progress to classroom teacher, program personnel and/or parents; Keeps up-to-date records of each pupil's progress; and Performs all other duties as directed by the Director of Special Education or his designee. Reports to ACH 24 hours per week, follows Akron Public School's calendar.
