Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting the developmental needs of children across various age groups. We are looking for someone to work 7:30-4:30 M-F. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' academic and social growth through innovative teaching methods and personalized instruction. The Teacher will collaborate with colleagues, communicate effectively with parents, and uphold the highest standards of child welfare and education. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum tailored to diverse learning needs, including literacy, math, physical education, and special education programs. Design engaging lesson plans that promote critical thinking, creativity, and active participation. Manage classroom behavior to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment conducive to learning. Utilize classroom management techniques to maintain discipline and foster positive social interactions among students. Assess student progress through standardized testing, formative assessments, and ongoing observations; adjust instruction accordingly. Support early childhood development initiatives such as toddler care, early intervention strategies, and preschool activities. Incorporate Montessori or other specialized educational approaches as appropriate to enhance learning experiences. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, school activities, and student support programs. Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and developmental milestones. Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and lesson plans in compliance with school policies. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and child welfare standards. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; additional certifications in early childhood education or special education preferred. Experience working with children across various age groups; prior classroom experience is highly desirable. Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies. Familiarity with curriculum development, literacy education, standardized testing procedures, and tutoring methods. Experience with special education needs, early intervention programs, Montessori methods, or preschool settings is advantageous. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues. Ability to create an inclusive learning environment that supports child welfare and promotes positive social-emotional development. Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learner needs; experience working with students requiring additional support is a plus. This position provides an enriching environment for educators committed to fostering academic excellence and holistic child development through innovative teaching practices.
Pay:
$13.00 - $18.00 per hour
