The teachers report directly to the Deans, Assistant Headmster, and the Headmaster.

Key Responsibilities
Creates and executes successful lesson plans that represent a deep understanding of subject material in line with Heart of Ohio Classical Academy's content-rich curriculum.
Employs effective teacher-led instructional strategies to meet different aptitudes and interests of students, including lectures, group discussions, and hands-on learning activities that lead to student mastery.
Develop and implement classroom management strategies that create decorum in support of a positive and focused learning environment.
Administers and monitors all state standardized and internal assessments in accordance with schoolwide policies and practices.
Regularly assesses and analyzes student performance using various methods, providing feedback and adjusting instructional techniques to meet individual student needs.
Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and the Leadership Team to enhance the instructional environment and improve teaching practices aligned with school goals and participates in weekly staff meetings (or as prescribed by the Headmaster).
Works with Intervention Specialists for prescribed learning necessary for students that have an IEP in place (tracking, providing services, reporting, attending meetings, etc.)
Works with building leadership for prescribed learning necessary for students that have a 504 plan (tracking, providing services, reporting, attending meetings, etc.).
Maintains professional and ethical standards in all interactions and communications with students, parents, colleagues, and the community
Qualifications
Active Ohio Teaching Licensure Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
Valuable experience teaching children, preferably in a classical or public school.
Strong knowledge base to support the content-rich curriculum.
Passion and enthusiasm for teaching.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to inspire students.
