Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract In this exciting contract role as a Special Education Teacher, you'll make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by fostering inclusive, accessible learning experiences. Collaborating closely with fellow educators and support staff, you'll develop tailored lesson plans and interventions while advocating for every learner's unique needs. This position provides the opportunity to positively impact both individual students and the broader school community.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Valid certification or licensure in Special Education (state requirements must be met) Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or related field Passion for supporting students with a variety of learning differences and abilities Strong classroom management and organizational skills Ability to adapt instructional strategies and modify curriculum Clear communication skills with students, parents, and colleagues Experience with IEP development and implementation is highly preferred Flexibility and problem-solving abilities in a dynamic educational setting
What You'll Do:
Design and deliver individualized and group instruction based on students' IEP goals Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure inclusivity Track and report on student progress, adapting strategies as needed Maintain thorough and up-to-date records for IEPs, assessments, and classroom data Provide direct support, encouragement, and guidance to students throughout the school day Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding student success and areas of growth Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities Experience first-hand the fulfillment that comes from empowering every learner to reach their potential.
