43-46/hr Help Every Student Reach Their Potential ATC Healthcare is seeking dedicated Intervention Specialists / Special Education Teachers to support students with disabilities within Garfield Heights City Schools . The Intervention Specialist will provide individualized instruction and support while developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). This position works closely with students, general education teachers, families, administrators, and other professionals to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Responsibilities As an Intervention Specialist, you will: Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for assigned students Provide specialized instruction based on each student's individual learning needs and IEP goals Monitor student progress and use data to adjust instructional strategies Provide classroom accommodations, modifications, and interventions Collaborate with general education teachers to support students in inclusive classroom environments Participate in IEP meetings, Intervention Assistance Team (IAT) meetings, evaluations, and progress reviews Maintain accurate documentation of student services, progress, goals, and educational records Collect and analyze data related to student performance and IEP objectives Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress Coordinate with teachers, administrators, related service providers, and community agencies Provide consultation and guidance to general education teachers regarding appropriate accommodations and instructional strategies Support positive student behavior and social-emotional development Complete required special education reports and documentation within established timelines Ensure services comply with IDEA, Ohio special education requirements, district policies, and students' IEPs Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field Valid Ohio teaching license with the appropriate Intervention Specialist credential/endorsement Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, progress monitoring, and documentation Understanding of IDEA and Ohio requirements for educating students with disabilities Ability to differentiate and adapt instruction for students with diverse learning needs Strong classroom management and student engagement skills Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary educational team Ability to meet all Garfield Heights City Schools and ATC Healthcare credentialing and background requirements Preferred Qualifications Previous experience as an Intervention Specialist, Special Education Teacher, or SPED Teacher Experience working in inclusion, resource, or specialized classroom settings Experience supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), emotional/behavioral disabilities, learning disabilities, or other exceptionalities Strong IEP writing and progress-monitoring experience Familiarity with Ohio special education documentation and compliance requirements Experience collaborating with paraprofessionals and related service providers Why Join ATC Healthcare?
