As an Intervention Specialist at New Story Schools, you will create structured, engaging, and individualized learning experiences that help students build essential academic, social, and behavioral skills. You will guide a small classroom environment, deliver instruction aligned with each student's IEP, and collaborate closely with families and multidisciplinary teams to support meaningful growth. This role will not include shared classrooms which allows you to truly know your students and run a predictable, structured classroom. What You'll Need Bachelor's degree in special education or a related field Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist License or Alternative Resident Educator License Experience developing and implementing IEPs Strong collaboration and communication skills with families and school teams Dedication to inclusive, student-centered instruction and behavioral support Comfortable with challenging behaviors and openness to learning support strategies What You'll Do Lead a small manageable and self-contained 6 student classroom and provide individualized, hands-on daily instruction Work alongside RBTs serving as paraprofessionals who understand ABA and data collection. Collaborate with Board Certified Behavior Analysts, plus have access to a designated Occupational Therapist and a Speech Language Pathologist integrated into programming.
