Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a real impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting a self-contained classroom for students with significant behavioral and mental health needs. Work in a blended environment serving both middle and high school students, where building relationships and fostering growth is central to success. This contract position features weekday hours from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with all work performed on-site. You'll have the support of another dedicated educator focused on social-emotional programming, and paraeducators who assist as needed—including one-on-one support when required by students' IEPs.
Desired Experience and Skills:
Valid teaching certification in Special Education Experience working with students facing severe behavioral and mental health challenges Comfortable managing a classroom for a diverse age group (middle and high school) Knowledge of IEPs and implementation of individualized support Strong collaboration, organization, and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
