Overview
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
Responsible for assisting with the overall operations of The Learning Zone and/or Summer Zone programs Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Contribute to daily lesson plan development Lead instruction in academic and enhanced education sessions Exhibit positive and effective classroom management instruction and disciplinary skills Assist with individual plan of study for each child based on his/her needs in collaboration with teachers. school officials and Learning Zone/Summer Zone staff Assist with areas of program support services Be knowledgeable of the educational and holistic needs and concerns of children and their families Provide referral/intervention services Assist with statistical data and record keeping Assist with transportation when needed Attend and/or help plan staff training and volunteer training Assist with the development of programming as opportunities present themselves in keeping with the mission and vision of the Dewald Community Center and The Salvation Army. Recruit. schedule, orientate, and direct volunteers as needed in coordination with the director Represent Dewald Community Center and The Salvation Anny with a high degree of professionalism, interfacing with the educational community to increase awareness while providing networking oppo1iunities and collaborations Represent and promote The Salvation Am1y and Dewald Community Center to the community and assist in funding proposals Help plan and implement Summer Zone program
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists with oversight of volunteer tutors and student tutors Qualifications MINIMUM EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in education or related field Experience working with kids and their families
SPECIAL SKILLS, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
