Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating instructional modifications for students with disabilities or special needs. Deliver individualized instruction using evidence-based strategies such as applied behavior analysis, speech therapy techniques, and educational technology integration to meet diverse learning requirements. Manage classroom behavior effectively through proactive behavior management techniques and positive reinforcement strategies, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavioral concerns, and educational planning, including updates on IEP (Individualized Education Program) goals and compliance requirements. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including special education staff, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other specialists—to coordinate services and optimize student outcomes. Assess student progress through standardized testing, formative assessments, and observational data to inform instructional adjustments. Maintain accurate records of lesson plans, student evaluations, behavioral reports, and compliance documentation in accordance with educational regulations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; advanced certifications or specialized training in special education or related disciplines preferred. Proven experience working with children or students with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, visual impairments, or other disabilities in classroom or therapeutic settings. Strong knowledge of special education law, IEP development, instructional modifications, and behavioral health strategies. Excellent communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration. Familiarity with learning technology tools and educational software to enhance instruction and student engagement. Ability to manage classroom dynamics confidently while maintaining a positive learning atmosphere. Passion for early childhood education, literacy development, math instruction, physical education, or recreational therapy is highly valued.
