Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into an enriching opportunity as a Special Education Teacher, supporting an innovative educational setting in a publicly funded private school near Perrysburg, OH. This contract role invites you to make an impact working two days per week, providing specialized instruction to a manageable caseload of K-3 students, including those with specific learning disabilities (SLD) and one student with a traumatic brain injury (TBI). The position starts as soon as possible and runs through the end of the school year, providing a rewarding way to focus your expertise in a supportive environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current Special Education Teacher certification (state-appropriate) Experience working with K-3 aged students, especially those with SLD and TBI Understanding of IEP development and implementation Positive interpersonal skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams Strong communication and documentation abilities Flexibility and creativity in instructional approaches
Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and small group instruction tailored to student IEPs Adapt curriculum and learning strategies to meet diverse learning needs Work closely with classroom teachers and related service providers Maintain progress monitoring and accurate records Engage with families to support student growth and development Contribute to a nurturing, achievement-oriented classroom atmosphere
