Duties Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and activities tailored to school-age children's interests and developmental needs. Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques to ensure a respectful and inclusive environment. Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety at all times through vigilant child supervision. Facilitate youth group activities, sports, arts, theater, and outdoor games to promote teamwork, physical activity, and creativity. Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and daily experiences. Follow all first aid protocols and emergency procedures; be prepared to administer CPR or AED as needed to ensure child safety. Collaborate with team members to plan special events or themed camps that enhance learning experiences for children. Uphold licensing requirements by maintaining accurate attendance records, incident reports, and safety logs. Incorporate childhood development principles into daily activities to support individual growth milestones. Foster a positive environment that encourages kindness, respect, and cooperation among children of diverse backgrounds. Experience Prior experience working with children in educational settings such as daycare centers, camps, or youth programs is highly preferred. Demonstrated classroom management skills with the ability to handle multiple children effectively in a lively environment. Knowledge of first aid procedures, CPR certification, AED operation, and first aid protocols is required or obtainable upon hire. Experience facilitating youth group activities or sports coaching enhances your ability to engage children actively. Background in special education or experience working with children with diverse learning needs is a plus. Proven ability to lead team efforts in childcare or youth development programs while maintaining a positive attitude.
