Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners as a Special Education Teacher in a publicly funded private school near Toledo, OH. This part-time position (2 days per week) runs from ASAP through the end of the school year, with a focus on guiding students in grades K-3 who have specific learning disabilities, as well as providing services to one student with a traumatic brain injury (TBI).
Qualifications & Experience:
Hold a valid Special Education Teaching credential (appropriate for Ohio) Demonstrated experience working with students in K-3 settings Expertise supporting children with specific learning disabilities (SLD) Experience working with students affected by traumatic brain injuries preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff and families Ability to adapt curriculum and instruction to individual student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and small group instruction as outlined in IEPs Develop, implement, and review IEPs for students on your caseload Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and related service providers Maintain open, positive communication with families regarding student progress Foster an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment
