Summer Camp Teacher

Overview We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team for an exciting summer camp experience. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for campers. You will be responsible for supervising and guiding children in various activities, fostering their personal growth, and ensuring their well-being throughout the camp session. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with children and have experience in educational or recreational settings. Duties Supervise and engage campers in daily activities, ensuring their safety and enjoyment. Plan and implement age-appropriate games, crafts, and educational activities. Foster positive relationships with campers, encouraging teamwork and cooperation. Monitor camper behavior, providing guidance and support as needed. Assist with conflict resolution among campers using effective behavior management techniques. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding camper progress and experiences. Maintain a clean and organized camp environment. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills in first aid, childhood development, and special education. Qualifications Experience working with students or children in a camp or educational setting is preferred. Knowledge of early childhood education principles is a plus. Strong classroom management skills to maintain a positive learning environment. Familiarity with behavior management strategies to support diverse needs. Background in childcare or childhood development is highly desirable. Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified. Experience or training in Christian counseling or special education is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while demonstrating leadership qualities.
