Duties Develop and implement comprehensive curricula that promote literacy, math, physical education, and social skills aligned with early childhood education standards. Design engaging lesson plans tailored to diverse learning styles and developmental stages, including preschool and toddler care. Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement techniques and behavior management strategies to ensure a safe and respectful learning environment. Work closely with children to support their emotional well-being, social skills, and overall development, including those requiring special education or early intervention services. Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly. Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and colleagues to communicate student progress and develop individualized learning plans when necessary. Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, lesson plans, and child welfare documentation to ensure compliance with licensing requirements. Experience Prior classroom experience in early childhood education or preschool settings is encouraged. Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum content across subjects. Experience working with children of various ages, including preschoolers, with an understanding of childhood development principles. Knowledge of classroom management techniques that foster positive behavior and engagement among young learners. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, colleagues, and community partners. Related field experience is a plus; ongoing professional development in areas like tutoring or daycare management is encouraged.
