e2112-73099 Job Description Make a genuine impact in the lives of children by providing specialized, one-on-one educational support as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired serving a dedicated student in a school setting. This full-time, long-term position is ideal for passionate educators ready to collaborate closely with pediatric learners and interdisciplinary teams to foster independence and academic achievement.
Key Qualifications:
Valid state certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired Bachelors Degree (B.A.) or higher in relevant field Experience in 1:1 settings with pediatric students preferred Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt instruction to each students needs Flexibility to work on-site in a school environment and collaborate effectively with staff and families Open to candidates seeking travel opportunities
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver tailored, one-on-one instruction and interventions for a student with visual impairments, focusing on both academic and orientation/mobility needs Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in partnership with school staff and families Monitor progress, document outcomes, and adjust teaching strategies as needed to ensure student success Provide ongoing support, resources, and training to classroom teachers and aides Work collaboratively with school teams to promote accessibility and inclusion Maintain open and positive communication with families regarding student growth and needs Enjoy a rewarding work experience with excellent support and tangible benefits, including health and dental insurance, a company-matched 401(k), and competitive weekly pay.
