Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our dynamic educational team. In this role, you will design and implement tailored instructional programs that meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities, including those with autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, and neurodevelopmental disorders. Your energetic approach will foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes growth, independence, and confidence. You will collaborate closely with other professionals, parents, and caregivers to ensure each student receives comprehensive support aligned with their Individualized Education Program (IEP). Your expertise in curriculum development, behavior management, and educational technology will be instrumental in creating engaging learning experiences that inspire success.
Details:
We are in need of a full time contract special education teacher for the 2026 2027 School Year. We have a position serving students with mild to moderate disabilities. The position has a case load of around 35 students. Also, the teacher will have a generous case management schedule of one period per day. They will also have a prep period each day. The staff hired should be confident in teaching math to students with disabilities. Contract begins ASAP and ends in Mid June. 40 Hours per week
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized lesson plans that incorporate instructional modifications suitable for students with various disabilities. Use evidence-based behavioral therapy techniques and behavior management strategies to support students' social-emotional development and classroom behavior. Collaborate regularly with speech therapists, occupational therapists, counselors, and other specialists to coordinate student support services. Adapt curriculum content to meet the unique needs of each student while ensuring compliance with special education law and standards. Conduct assessments and maintain detailed documentation of student progress through standardized testing, progress reports, and IEP meetings. Utilize educational technology tools to enhance instruction and facilitate accessible learning environments for students with disabilities. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians through regular updates, conferences, and written reports to foster a strong partnership in student development. Pay:
$55.00 - $60.00 per hour
