Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher position based in Monmouth, OR, offering a contract role within a school setting. The ideal candidate will have experience working with diverse student populations and a passion for supporting students with special needs to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to students' unique learning and developmental needs. Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure inclusive and effective educational strategies. Monitor and assess student progress, adapting instructional methods to meet varied learning styles. Provide direct instruction and support to students with disabilities in compliance with state and federal guidelines. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student performance and services provided.
Qualifications:
Valid Special Education teaching certification or licensure. Experience in special education classroom settings, preferably within public schools. Strong knowledge of federal and state special education regulations. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with educators, parents, and support staff. Ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment for students with diverse needs.
