9586618-97381 Job Description Step into an impactful role supporting students as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming academic year. Multiple openings are available for experienced professionals on a full-time contract basis, beginning September 9, 2026, and continuing through June 26, 2027. All positions are on-site, with opportunities to serve a range of K12 students, including specialized assignments tailored to your background and interests. With four vacancies available, youll collaborate with other educators and instructional assistants in settings ranging from life skills and developmental classrooms to intensive behavioral health programs. The caseload and assignment will be determined by your experience and preferred area, ensuring youre set up for success.

Key Qualifications:

Valid Special Education teaching credential/certification Experience with K12 students (both academic and behavioral needs) Flexibility to work across various classroom environments (life skills, developmental, and behavioral programs) Positive approach to collaboration with instructional assistants and related service staff Ability to adapt instruction for diverse learning and communication needs Strong written and verbal communication abilities

Responsibilities Include:

Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) Modifying curriculum and instruction to address a range of academic and behavioral needs Partnering with instructional assistants in small-group and whole-class settings Collecting data to assess student progress and adapting strategies as needed Fostering a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment Communicating regularly with families, staff, and related service providers Assignments include working in a supportive team for middle school life skills (12 students, 4 IAs), elementary K-2 developmental classrooms (16 students, 5 IAs), and elementary behavior programs (two positions available, 13 students each, 4 IAs).
