Salary & Benefits
The salary range is $47,588•$103,098 (based on the 2026-27 SEA Certified Salary Schedule), depending on education and experience, plus a generous benefits package.

About the Position
Springfield Public Schools seeks outstanding candidates for the position of Elementary Learning Specialist (Elementary K-5) at Douglas Gardens Elementary School. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Experience working with elementary-aged students;
Strong understanding of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) for academic and social/emotional/behavioral needs;
Knowledge of and experience with Response to Instruction & Intervention (RtI) frameworks;
Familiarity with Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS);
Demonstrated ability to support and respond to the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds present in a K-12 school community;
Strong relationship-building skills with students and the ability to establish effective classroom routines and management systems;
Ability to build collaborative relationships with staff, students, and families;
Experience providing individualized, explicit instruction aligned to the core curriculum;
Ability to effectively manage and supervise students and their learning.
Minimum Qualifications
A valid Oregon teaching license with a
Special Education:
Generalist endorsement;
Ability to successfully pass fingerprinting, criminal, Oregon Department of Education, and TSPC background checks.

Bilingual/Biliterate (Spanish)
