e2112-97071 Job Description Make an impact by supporting students with visual impairments through dedicated 1:1 instruction in a school-based setting. This full-time, on-site contract opportunity is ideal for professionals passionate about advocating for the educational success of children. Situated near Woodburn, OR, this position welcomes travel educators seeking to expand their experience in a school environment while working closely with pediatric learners.
Key Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree (B.A.) required State certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired is mandatory Previous experience providing 1:1 support to pediatric students highly preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills Flexibility, adaptability, and a commitment to fostering student independence
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver personalized instruction to visually impaired students in a 1:1 setting, adapting materials and lesson plans for individual needs Collaborate with classroom teachers, families, and multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Create and maintain a safe, supportive learning environment that encourages each students participation and growth Offer guidance on the use of assistive technology and accessible resources to enhance learning Monitor student progress, documenting achievements, and adjusting strategies as needed for optimal outcomes Act as an advocate for visually impaired students, ensuring access to educational opportunities This opportunity offers a combination of professional growth, meaningful work, and supportive benefits, including comprehensive health and dental insurance, a company-matched 401(k), and competitive weekly compensation.
