Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a real difference in the lives of middle schoolers by bringing your expertise in Special Education to a welcoming educational environment. This contract assignment focuses on supporting a dedicated classroom of eight students in an Autistic Support setting, offering a rewarding opportunity for passionate educators.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate covering Special Education for middle school Experience working with middle school-aged children on the autism spectrum Strong classroom management and collaborative skills Ability to create inclusive lesson plans and differentiate instruction to meet varied needs Commitment to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide tailored instruction for a small group of middle school students, focusing on individual goals and developmental needs Collaborate with paraprofessionals, specialists, and families to develop and implement IEPs Track progress, maintain accurate records, and adapt strategies as needed Inspire, motivate, and guide students to achieve their personal best Maintain a structured and nurturing classroom that promotes independence and growth
Position Details:
Contract assignment running ASAP through June 10, 2027 Full-time schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:15am to 2:45pm (35 hours per week, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch) Class size: 8 students, ensuring meaningful connections and individualized instruction If you hold the necessary certification and have a passion for special education, this is your chance to positively impact the lives of students and shape their educational journey.
