This position calls for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide autistic support at the middle school level. You'll foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment for eight students, working full-time from 7:15am to 2:45pm (35 hours per week, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch), starting as soon as possible and continuing through June 10, 2027.
Required Qualifications:
Valid PA Teaching Certificate covering Special Education for middle school ages Experience working with middle school or autistic support populations is preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and group instruction for middle school students with autism Develop and implement IEPs in partnership with the support team Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies as needed Partner with paraprofessionals, families, and administrators to ensure student success Maintain accurate records and participate in staff meetings as required
