Job Description
Supplemental Health Care is partnering with a supportive school system who are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teachers to provide Early Intervention services to students with disabilities throughout the community. This is an itinerant position requiring travel within the county to support children with a variety of special needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Developmental Disabilities, and Emotional Disturbances. This role focuses on delivering individualized instruction, promoting student growth, and collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful outcomes. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and lesson plans aligned with state standards. Provide individualized instruction and support based on student needs and goals. Collaborate with related service providers, families, and educational staff to support student progress. Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings and team meetings. Foster a safe, structured, positive, and inclusive learning environment. Utilize technology platforms including Outlook, IEP Writer, and HCSIS. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's preferred). Valid Pennsylvania Special Education Certification or Pennsylvania PK Certification. Current PDE certification required; emergency certifications are not being accepted. Fingerprints required. Experience working with students with disabilities preferred. ABA and/or BCBA experience is highly valued. Safety Care Training preferred. Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills. Technology proficiency required. Position Details This program serves multiple school districts across a regional service area rather than a single school district. Candidates must be comfortable working in various community locations and adapting to changing schedules and student needs. Travel throughout the county is required. Service areas may include communities such as Morton, Broomall, Aston, Folcroft, Media, Drexel Hill, Darby, Glenolden, Chester, Collingdale, Clifton Heights, Sharon Hill, Lansdowne, Havertown, Swarthmore, Wallingford, Brookhaven, and surrounding areas.
