Job Description

Step into a rewarding opportunity shaping the educational journey of middle and high school students as a Special Education Teacher. This is a full-time, onsite contract role commencing August 24, 2026, and concluding June 10, 2027, catering specifically to those with a passion for supporting diverse learners. Four dynamic positions are available, including one at the middle school level (hours between 8:30AM-4PM or 8AM-3:15PM, to be confirmed) and three at the high school level (7:15AM-2:45PM). At the high school, concentrations are available in Science, Math, and Social Studies—a fantastic chance for subject matter experts to guide pupils in their field.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Active certification/licensure to teach special education Bachelor's degree (required for emergency teaching permit) Completed PA clearances or willingness to obtain Previous school-based experience Reliable transportation is essential Strong classroom and behavioral management abilities Prior experience within urban settings Proficient in designing lesson plans in alignment with current standards and differentiating instruction Able to commit to a 35-hour work week within the specified timeframes, with no schedule accommodations offered Comfortable integrating into district culture and expectations
