Category Schools•Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract A school district is now looking to hire four Secondary Teachers for current, full-time openings for the 2026-2027 school year. These positions are available at the middle and high school levels, supporting students in a variety of subject areas. The district is seeking educators with strong instructional skills, classroom management experience, and the ability to support students in an urban school environment. Responsibilities:
Provide instruction in assigned subject areas while demonstrating mastery of course content and instructional strategies. Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with current state and district standards. Utilize formative assessments and differentiation strategies to meet diverse student learning needs. Create a structured, positive classroom environment with strong behavioral management practices. Collaborate with school staff and administration to support student achievement. Maintain accurate documentation and follow district instructional expectations.

8:30 AM•4:00 PM or 8:00 AM•3:15 PM (schedule TBD)
High School Teachers:
3 positions available
Hours:
7:15 AM•2:45 PM 1 Science concentration 1 Math concentration 1 Social Studies concentration
Experience:
Previous school-based teaching experience required. Experience working in an urban school setting preferred. Strong classroom management and behavioral management skills required. Reliable transportation required.
Education:
Active teaching certification/licensure required for assigned subject area. Bachelor's degree required for candidates seeking an emergency teaching permit. Must be able to complete all required Pennsylvania clearances.
