DESCRIPTION
The successful candidate will have solid ability to prepare, direct and deliver instruction to students in special needs classes. Candidate will be able to demonstrate knowledge of content and pedagogy and knowledge of Pennsylvania's Academic Standards. Successful candidates will work in conjunction with case managers all three CB high schools to coordinate services for students with IEPs attending MBIT Responsibilities include; scheduling direct instruction or check ins with CB students, progress monitoring as per IEPs, communication between CB case managers, MBIT teachers and staff. Teacher will be primarily located at MBIT Utilization of crisis prevention techniques/strategies (including possible restraint as a last resort) with students who require such in their IEP. Training will be provided via
CBSD. REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree and PA Special Education 7-12 certification (content area certificate required for issuance). Bachelor's Degree and PA Special Education PK-12 (certificate discontinued 8/31/2013/content area certificate required). If applicant requires a PDE Emergency Permit, contract eligibility is not applicable, and the vacancy becomes a Long Term Substitute position
