e2112-17120 Job Description Make a difference every day by supporting the educational journey of a student as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired in a full-time, contract role near Harrisburg, PA. Working one-on-one with a pediatric learner, youll play a vital part in helping them achieve academic and personal growth in a welcoming school environment. This position is ideal for professionals passionate about fostering independence and confidence in students with visual impairments.
What you bring:
Bachelors degree required (B.A.) Valid state certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired Previous experience working 1:1 with pediatric students preferred Strong communication and organizational abilities Dedication to creating an inclusive and accessible learning environment Willingness to be onsite throughout the assignment Adaptability and commitment to a long-term placement Enthusiasm for working collaboratively with school professionals and families Responsibilities include: Delivering tailored instruction to support the unique needs of a visually impaired student Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) Collaborating with classroom teachers, therapists, and school staff to ensure integration and accessibility Monitoring student progress and making adjustments as necessary Providing resources and training to families and school personnel Ensuring compliance with district policies and state requirements Serving as an advocate for accessible education and student empowerment Benefits youll enjoy: health and dental insurance, a company-matched 401(k), and competitive weekly pay.
