This full-time role offers a chance to build strong relationships with a small, focused caseload—typically just 2 to 5 students—ensuring you can individualize instruction and truly see your students grow. Your days will follow a consistent weekday schedule, from 7:45 am to 3:15 pm, allowing you to enjoy evenings and weekends for personal priorities or interests. This structure provides a healthy work/life balance while fostering consistency for you and your students. What you'll bring: Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher Experience working with K-12 students, preferably in a special education setting Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with parents, colleagues, and support staff Patience, creativity, and adaptability to meet the unique needs of each learner Ability to maintain documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines Key responsibilities: Individualize instruction for each student on your caseload to support academic and social-emotional growth Design and follow lesson plans based on students' IEP goals Work closely with other educators and specialists to address a range of student needs Monitor, assess, and document student progress, making adjustments as necessary Communicate regularly with families regarding student achievements and challenges Foster an inclusive, respectful classroom environment where every student feels valued Step into a role where your expertise will make a visible difference each day.
