What were looking for:

Valid Special Education teaching certification Experience or strong interest in working with students with autism and multiple disabilities Training or familiarity with evidence-based practices for students on the autism spectrum Ability to manage a classroom with varied learning needs (around 6 students with autism and 8 students with other disabilities) Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with educational staff and families Commitment to developing individualized education plans and implementing them effectively Core responsibilities: Provide instruction, classroom management, and programming for students mainly with autism as well as other multiple disabilities Develop and adapt lesson plans to meet each learners unique goals and needs Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, therapists, and general educators Maintain clear documentation regarding student progress and IEP implementation Facilitate a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom experience Engage in regular communication with families and multidisciplinary teams This full-time schedule runs Monday through Thursday from 8:30am to 3:00pm and Friday from 8:30am to 1:00pm, ensuring a work-life balance while making a genuine difference every day.
