Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support elementary students in a supportive school environment near Lansdale, PA. This contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by stepping into a maternity leave role, working closely with students in grades 2, 3, and 4 in an Autism Support setting. You will join a collaborative team, focusing on individualized education and tailored support for each child from now until December.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Special Education certification in Pennsylvania (SPED in PA) Prior experience working with elementary-age students, especially in grades 2-4 Strong background in supporting students with autism or similar needs Experience designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families Adaptability and compassion in dynamic classroom settings
Responsibilities:
Manage an elementary caseload, focusing on students requiring autistic support Develop, execute, and document progress on IEPs Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and parents to provide a comprehensive education Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages growth and learning Utilize evidence-based strategies for differentiated instruction and behavioral support Monitor student progress, adjusting strategies to meet developing needs Maintain professional and compliant documentation according to school and state guidelines Perks of the
