Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role shaping the educational journey of high school students as a Special Education Case Manager. This contract position offers the chance to create a direct and meaningful impact on young learners by guiding their academic and social-emotional growth within a supportive, on-site school environment. There are three full-time positions available, beginning August 31, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee a caseload of high school students receiving special education services Deliver direct support to students, adapting instruction to meet diverse needs Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Monitor student progress, gather data, and maintain comprehensive records Work collaboratively with general and special education teachers, families, and related service providers Stay up to date on best practices and ensure strict compliance with all regulatory and procedural requirements Act as an advocate for students, promoting positive outcomes both academically and socially
Desired Qualifications:
Current and valid Special Education Teacher certification Previous experience as a case manager or special education teacher, particularly with high school students, is highly valued Deep understanding of IEP development, modification, and management Strong organizational and documentation abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to teamwork and fostering inclusive educational environments This on-site opportunity at a single school location offers stability and the professional satisfaction of making a difference in students' lives every day.
