The Lead Teacher will provide supervision and support to on-site Special Education Teachers working in our Mapleton School. This position is a 10 month position located in Malvern PA.Salary:
$58,885.05- $67,128.
Shift:
Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm Every day as a Lead Teacher you will: Own supervision of IEPs and IEP process Complete initial transition IEP for new students within 30 days Share training responsibilities of teachers and support staff on special education related material Co-teach / push into classrooms to assist teacher adoption of new skills Serve as a building-level leader in core and supplementary curricular resources Drive data collection and progress reporting process Supervise Special Education Teachers and complete observations You will be offered: Low student-teacher ratios Supervisor always available to support classroom teachers and staff Extensive training in research based interventions Classrooms equipped with state of the art technology Unique programs that go beyond basic academic curriculum, such as: art therapy, animal care therapy, yoga, drama, life-skills and moreBENEFIT ELIGIBILITY AFTER 30 DAYS OF EMPLOYMENT

EDUCATION
Special Education PA Instructional II Certification, Master's Degree (attained or in progress)EXPERIENCE
5 years Special Education classroom teaching experience. Strong understanding of Special Education law and best practices. Background in Special Education center-based placements / APSs. Familiarity with IEP Writer, familiarity with Danielson framework preferred.
