Lead daily classroom activities that support child development instruction across areas such as language acquisition, social skills, motor skills, and early intervention strategies. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns through meetings, reports, or informal updates. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of child welfare incidents or concerns. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom staff to uphold high standards of childcare and classroom management. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of childhood development best practices, preschool teaching methods, and state licensing requirements related to daycare experience and early childhood education. Experience Proven teaching experience working with young children in a preschool or daycare setting. Strong background in curriculum development tailored for toddler care and early childhood education. Experience managing classrooms effectively with behavior management techniques suitable for two-year-olds. Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention programs, and standardized testing relevant to early childhood settings. Knowledge of child development principles including literacy education, physical education activities, and math concepts for toddlers. Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in childhood development or early intervention are preferred.
