A Special Education Teacher teaches students who have disabilities, and adapts teaching methods to meet the needs of students. Assesses students and helps to develop individualized education plans that specify the services and accommodations needed for each student. Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. Temporary, part-time Job Summary/Basic Function The Department of Special Education is accepting applications for temporary part-time instructors to teach special education coursework and/or supervise student teachers. The Special Education Department at times needs temporary part-time Instructors to fill in for faculty on sabbaticals or leaves. Temporary, part-time instructor responsible for teaching coursework and/or supervising student teachers on an as-needed basis. The purpose of this posting is to generate a pool of qualified faculty.
