Assesses students and helps to develop individualized education plans that specify the services and accommodations needed for each student. Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

POSITION

Special Education Teacher

QUALIFICATIONS

The Lawrence County CTC is currently accepting applications for a special education teacher. This is a full-time position with all rights and privileges of the collective bargaining unit agreement. All candidates must possess a k-12 Pennsylvania certificate in special education. Preference will be given to those candidates highly qualified in multiple areas. Special consideration given to those candidates highly qualified in math.
