Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine impact as a Special Education Teacher for 9th and 10th grade students in a dynamic school environment near Norristown, PA. This contract position focuses on nurturing the growth and development of students in need of tailored educational support, ensuring each learner can achieve their fullest potential. You'll teach and foster a supportive environment for a 9th and 10th grade caseload, utilizing your expertise in special education to inspire academic and personal growth. Flexible scheduling options are available, with both a standard 5-day workweek (37.5 hours/week) and an alternate 4-day workweek (30 hours/week) to fit your lifestyle and work-life balance needs. School hours run from 8:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid and current Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching certification required Experience supporting high school-aged students with diverse learning needs Comfortable developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Excellent communication and collaboration skills Strong classroom management abilities Passionate about providing meaningful support to students and contributing positively to a school community
Key Responsibilities:
