- $97,540 per year Oxford Area High School Posted 7/28/2026 Summary Oxford Area High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our educational team.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with learning differences.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet the needs of all learners.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in both one-on-one and small group settings.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary to ensure academic success.
- Facilitate communication between students, parents, and school staff to foster a supportive educational environment.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and share insights on effective teaching strategies.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement and participation.
- Stay current with best practices in special education and learning support through professional development and training opportunities.
- Assist in the development and implementation of school-wide initiatives aimed at promoting inclusivity and support for all students. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education.
- Valid PA teaching certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with high school students, preferably in a Special Education role.
- Strong understanding of various learning disabilities and effective instructional strategies to address them.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and families.
- Ability to create a nurturing and structured learning environment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying informed about current trends in education and Special Education.
