This position is responsible for planning and delivering developmentally appropriate, standards-aligned instruction; differentiating instruction to meet individual student needs; assessing and monitoring student progress; and using data to inform instructional decisions. The Teacher serves as an important member of the educational team and works closely with school leadership, colleagues, support staff, and families to promote student success. The position requires strong instructional knowledge, organization, sound judgment, effective communication, and the ability to establish positive relationships with students and families. The ideal candidate is a patient, creative, collaborative, and student-centered educator who demonstrates a commitment to meeting the diverse academic, developmental, and social-emotional needs of students while maintaining high expectations and a respectful classroom environment. Primary Duties & Responsibilities 1. Instructional Planning & Preparation Plan and prepare engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with Pennsylvania academic standards, curriculum expectations, and student learning needs. Establish clear instructional outcomes and learning objectives for students. Demonstrate strong knowledge of content, pedagogy, and effective instructional practices. Plan differentiated learning experiences to address varied academic abilities, developmental levels, learning styles, and individual student needs. Maintain appropriate instructional records and planning documentation. 2. Classroom Instruction & Student Engagement Create opportunities for students to develop academic, social, problem-solving, communication, and independent learning skills. Provide appropriate support, guidance, and feedback to students to promote academic growth. Establish clear expectations, routines, and procedures that support a productive and inclusive learning environment. Encourage curiosity, creativity, collaboration, and a positive attitude toward learning. 3. Classroom Environment & Student Support Implement effective classroom management and behavioral strategies that promote student engagement and positive behavior. Build positive relationships with students and demonstrate patience, consistency, flexibility, and respect. Support students' social-emotional development and overall well-being. Recognize and respond appropriately to individual student needs. Follow all school safety procedures, emergency protocols, and applicable health and safety requirements. 4. Assessment, Data & Student Progress Conduct formal and informal assessments to evaluate student understanding, needs, and progress. Collect, maintain, and analyze accurate student performance and progress data. Use assessment results and student data to inform instructional planning and differentiate instruction. Monitor individual student progress and identify areas requiring additional support or intervention. Maintain accurate and timely student records, assessment documentation, and progress reports. Communicate student progress, strengths, concerns, and areas for growth to parents/guardians and appropriate school personnel. Collaborate with members of the educational team and school leadership to develop and implement strategies to address student needs. 5. Family & Caregiver Communication Establish and maintain professional, respectful, and collaborative relationships with parents and guardians. Participate in parent/guardian conferences, meetings, and other communication activities as required. Respond to parent and caregiver questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner. Maintain confidentiality and exercise appropriate professional discretion when discussing student and family information. 6. Collaboration & Teamwork Contribute positively to a collaborative school culture. Work independently when appropriate while recognizing when collaboration, consultation, or additional support is needed. Support organizational and school-wide priorities as directed by school leadership. 7. Professional Practice & Development Maintain current knowledge of effective instructional practices, child development, classroom management, and educational standards. Participate in professional development activities and apply relevant learning to instructional practice. Reflect on instructional effectiveness and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, accountability, and sound judgment. Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with students, families, and colleagues. Uphold the values, expectations, policies, and procedures of the school and organization. 8. Compliance, Confidentiality & Safety Uphold all school policies, procedures, safety protocols, and applicable regulatory requirements. Maintain all required teaching certifications, clearances, and training. Complete required documentation and compliance activities within established timelines. Immediately communicate safety concerns, student concerns, or other matters requiring administrative attention in accordance with school procedures. 9. Additional Responsibilities Participate in school activities, events, programs, and initiatives as assigned. Assist with maintaining an organized and effective learning environment. Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned. The Teacher contributes positively to the overall success and collaborative culture of the school. QualificationsRequired Education Bachelor's degree or higher in Education or a related field. Subject-specific degree preferred. Required Certification / Licensure Valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certification in one of the following: Pennsylvania Grades PK-4 Early Childhood Education N-3 Elementary Education K-6 Required Experience Minimum of one (1) year of teaching experience. Required Clearances / Training Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151)

Experience using assessment data to inform instructional planning and intervention. Experience collaborating with families and multidisciplinary educational teams.
