Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make an impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting middle school students in an autistic support setting. This contract position is available immediately and will continue through June 10, 2027. You'll work in a collaborative, resource-rich environment near Quakertown, PA, with the chance to help a small group of students—just 8—reach their full potential.
Key Qualifications:
Possess a valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate with appropriate Special Education endorsement for middle school Demonstrated experience working with students on the autism spectrum, preferably in a school setting Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with students, staff, and families A patient, innovative, and adaptable approach to delivering instruction and behavioral support Willingness to collaborate with other team members, including related service providers and support staff
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide individualized and small-group instruction aligned to IEP goals for students with autism Develop differentiated lesson plans and materials tailored to student abilities and needs Implement evidence-based behavioral strategies and positive supports within the classroom Track student progress, complete required documentation, and participate in IEP meetings Foster an inclusive, structured, and supportive learning environment Engage effectively with parents and guardians as valued partners This opportunity offers a schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:15am to 2:45pm, totaling 35 hours each week with a 30-minute unpaid lunch.
