9683074-18951 Job Description Make a powerful impact in the lives of middle school students as a Special Education Teacher providing autistic support. This contract opportunity is located near Quakertown, PA, with a structured schedule of 7:15am to 2:45pm, Monday through Friday, aligning with the academic calendar through June 10, 2027. Youll engage daily with a small group of 8 students, delivering personalized instruction and fostering a supportive classroom environment.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate with appropriate Middle School Special Education endorsement Experience working with autistic students or similar support settings strongly preferred Deep understanding of IEP implementation, progress monitoring, and adapting lessons to student needs Strong communication and collaboration skills for partnering with related service providers and families Effective classroom management techniques and a nurturing approach
Core Responsibilities:
Provide direct instruction and support for middle school students with autism in accordance with their IEPs Develop and modify lesson plans and activities to address the unique needs of each student Collaborate with educational specialists, therapists, and support staff to ensure holistic care Maintain accurate records of student growth, interventions, and parent communication Offer an inclusive classroom atmosphere that honors each students strengths and abilities Participate in regular meetings, professional development, and parent-teacher conferences The position offers a consistent weekday schedule of 35 hours per week (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch), giving you time to connect with each student and maintain work-life balance.
