Key Qualifications:
Valid and current Pennsylvania Special Education (SPED) teaching license required Experience or strong interest in working with high school students (grades 9 & 10) Solid understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and customized instruction Strong communication skills for collaborating with colleagues and families Commitment to creating inclusive, positive, and supportive classroom environments
Role Responsibilities:
Teach and support a dedicated caseload of 9th and 10th grade students, adapting instruction to individual learning needs Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Collaborate closely with general education teachers, faculty, and support staff to deliver co-teaching or resource support models Regularly track and report student progress, making adjustments to strategies as needed Foster positive relationships with both students and their families Promote classroom participation, independence, and social-emotional growth Maintain compliance with all state and federal special education regulations
Schedule & Contract:
