Job Description

Category Schools - General Education Teacher Job Type Contract In this full-time contract role, you'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact on high school students' mathematical skills near West Chester, PA. Two openings are available, each offering a 35-hour workweek, with the assignment beginning as soon as possible and continuing through June 10, 2027. The role is onsite and focuses on teaching general education high school math students, with special education students receiving support from dedicated SPED teachers.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Active teaching certification/licensure required for your assigned caseload Bachelor's degree (required for an emergency teaching permit) Demonstrated experience in schools, preferably in an urban environment Mastery of high school math subject matter and instructional methods Ability to complete all Pennsylvania teaching clearances before starting Reliable transportation for consistent onsite attendance Strong classroom leadership and behavioral management skills Comfortable adhering to a set schedule between 8:30AM-4:00PM with no accommodations for alternative hours
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with current state and district educational standards Use formative assessments and differentiation techniques to drive effective instruction and optimize student learning Maintain classroom order with effective management strategies, ensuring a positive learning environment for all students Collaborate as needed with SPED teachers to support students with diverse needs Adeptly utilize a range of instructional resources and curriculum materials
