Job Description

Job Overview Bohorques Wellness Services LLC (BWS) is seeking a compassionate, energetic, and qualified Bilingual Dance Instructor (English/Spanish) to provide specialized dance and movement instruction to children and adolescents, including students with special needs, developmental disabilities, and diverse learning abilities . BWS is a Step Up For Students approved provider offering educational and specialized enrichment services designed to promote inclusion, physical development, coordination, self-expression, confidence, social interaction, and overall well-being. The Dance Instructor will provide individual and/or small-group dance lessons based on each student's age, abilities, developmental level, and individual needs. Services may be delivered at our North Fort Myers Learning Center, in students' homes, or at other approved community locations throughout the service area . This is a mobile/on-the-road position , and travel between service locations may be required. Key Responsibilities Provide individual and small-group dance and movement instruction to children and adolescents. Teach age- and ability-appropriate dance techniques, movement, rhythm, coordination, balance, flexibility, and body awareness. Adapt lessons and instructional strategies for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, developmental delays, learning disabilities, and other special needs . Develop structured, engaging, and inclusive dance activities based on each student's abilities and educational goals. Encourage self-expression, creativity, confidence, social participation, and positive peer interaction through movement and dance. Maintain a safe, supportive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment. Modify activities when necessary to accommodate physical, developmental, behavioral, sensory, or learning needs. Communicate professionally with parents/caregivers and the BWS program team regarding student participation and progress. Complete attendance records, session documentation, and other required program records accurately and timely. Travel to assigned service locations, including the BWS Learning Center, students' homes, and approved community settings. Follow BWS policies, safety procedures, confidentiality requirements, and applicable Step Up For Students program requirements. Education & Qualifications Candidates must have education, professional training, or recognized technical preparation related to dance or movement instruction.
Preferred qualifications include:
Bachelor's Degree, Associate Degree, Technical Degree/Certificate, or professional training in Dance, Performing Arts, Physical Education, Movement Education, or a closely related field. Demonstrated training and/or professional experience in dance instruction. Experience teaching or working with children and adolescents. Experience working with children with special needs, developmental disabilities, or special education needs is strongly preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish required. Ability to adapt instruction according to each child's developmental level, learning style, and abilities. Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and classroom-management skills. Patient, dependable, professional, and comfortable working with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
