Job Description

A contract opportunity is available for a Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing to provide telehealth instruction and support to a high school student participating in an Early College Program. This position involves remote services along with effective collaboration with district staff.
Location:
Hopkinsville, KY Setting:
School Contract Duration:
ASAP through May 26, 2027
Weekly Hours:
30 minutes to 1 hour per week
Caseload:
1 high school student
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized telehealth instruction tailored to the needs of a student who is Deaf or Hard of Hearing Provide individualized support aligned with curriculum and student goals Maintain effective communication with district staff and caregivers Document sessions and student progress according to district requirements Comply with all professional and legal standards for instruction and telehealth delivery
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Teacher of the Deaf license required Experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in school settings Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote instruction techniques Ability to engage high school students and adapt instructional strategies Strong organizational and communication skills
Interview Process:
Remote panel or casual interview format available with advance notice Decision anticipated within 24 hours of interview
Additional Information:
