Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A contract opportunity is available for a Visually Impaired Teacher specializing in telehealth services within a school setting in Louisville, KY. This role involves delivering specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments through virtual platforms, ensuring accessibility and tailored educational strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct telehealth instruction to students with visual impairments, adapting teaching methods to suit individual needs. Assess student progress and modify educational plans accordingly. Collaborate with families, educators, and support staff to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs). Utilize technology effectively to facilitate remote learning and maintain student engagement. Maintain accurate records of student performance and service delivery. Provide resources and guidance to students and caregivers to enhance learning outcomes.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Certification or licensure in visual impairment education. Experience delivering instruction through telehealth platforms. Strong knowledge of assistive technologies for visually impaired students. Excellent communication skills tailored to remote teaching environments. Ability to assess and address diverse learning needs. Familiarity with IEP development and implementation.
