Category Schools - Visually Impaired Teacher - Telehealth Job Type Contract A part-time opportunity is available for a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) specializing in telehealth services. This role supports visually impaired students through remote instruction and tailored educational strategies, enhancing their learning experience and accessibility.
Responsibilities include:
Delivering specialized instruction and support to visually impaired students via telehealth platforms. Developing individualized education plans (IEPs) focused on visual disabilities. Collaborating with families, school staff, and service providers to ensure cohesive support. Monitoring student progress and adjusting teaching methods accordingly. Utilizing assistive technologies and adaptive materials to facilitate learning.
Qualifications and desired experience:
Certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI). Proven experience providing instruction and support to visually impaired students. Familiarity with telehealth delivery methods and associated technology. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially in remote educational settings. Ability to design and modify curriculum to meet diverse learning needs.

Huntington Station, NY This contract position offers the flexibility of part-time hours with the meaningful responsibility of enhancing educational access for students with visual impairments.
