Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting schools in the Barre, Vermont area for the 2026-27 academic year! This in-person role offers the chance to make a true impact as a Special Education Case Coordinator. Multiple positions are available to serve students at the high school, middle school, and elementary levels. As a Special Education Case Coordinator, you'll work closely with dedicated special educators using the dyad model, focusing on delivering individualized education plans and ensuring student success in an inclusive environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
Current certification meeting all applicable state requirements for Special Education Teachers Proven experience coordinating IEPs and case management in a school setting Strong knowledge of best practices in special education for the assigned grade level (elementary, middle, or high school) Collaborative approach and excellent communication skills with students, staff, and families In-person availability throughout the contract period; remote work is not available for this opportunity
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage special education caseloads for assigned grade range Partner with special educators and implement the dyad model of instruction and case coordination Monitor, update, and maintain accurate, compliant IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Advocate for and support a positive, inclusive school culture for students with diverse needs Facilitate meetings, communicate progress, and provide resources to families and staff as needed
