9661494-24555 Job Description Embark on a rewarding opportunity as a Special Education Teacher supporting high school students with unique learning needs. This contract position is available near Glasgow, VA, and offers both full-time and part-time options to fit your career goals and schedule.

Two dynamic roles are available:

one on-site, full-time position providing direct instruction for a caseload of 21-22 high school students, and another part-time, virtual role supporting students in alternative placements. The assignment continues through the end of May, offering a chance to make a meaningful impact during the academic year.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

Valid Special Education teaching certification recognized by the state Experience working with high school students preferred Ability to develop, implement, and monitor IEPs Comfortable collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and families Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to adapt instruction for a variety of student needs Prior experience with virtual teaching platforms (for the virtual position)

Responsibilities Include:

Delivering specialized instruction tailored to an individual caseload Developing lesson plans and instructional materials to support differentiated learning Implementing behavioral and academic interventions as needed Maintaining compliance with state, federal, and district special education guidelines Communicating effectively with students, parents, and staff Utilizing data to inform instructional decisions and adjust supports as needed Documenting student progress and participating in IEP meetings
